Positive Parenting Awareness Month 2023

2022 Triple P America Year End Review

On behalf of Triple P America, we want to reflect on the partnership, collaboration, and progress we’ve made together over the last year to support children, families, and communities. We thank you for your partnership and look forward to the year ahead.

California: We are honored that the California Governor highlighted Triple P in the May Budget revision as an evidence-based program to build supports for children, youth, and parents. In addition, Triple P was recognized through the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI), a historic, five-year, $4.7 billion initiative to reimagine and transform the way California supports children and families. Triple P is one of a handful of evidence-based programs chosen to scale, derived from over 100 programs through extensive stakeholder engagement based on robust evidence for effectiveness, impact on racial equity, and long-term sustainability.

Nearly 40 parents, guardians, service providers, advocates, and funders, joined us at the state Capitol for our annual Advocacy Day to recognize January 2023 as Positive Parenting Awareness Month statewide for the 4th year in a row. Assembly Concurrent Resolution 4, highlights parent education as an effective early intervention and prevention tool to mitigate ACEs, support parent-child needs to improve behavioral health, destigmatize seeking support, and provide equitable opportunities to access support.
