About Us:   The Counseling Options and Parent Education (C.O.P.E) Family Support Center is a nonprofit organization providing family support services and educational opportunities for at risk families in Contra Costa County.

Goal/Vision:   The agency's mission is to prevent child abuse and strengthen family relationships through comprehensive support services that empower parents, encourage healthy relationships and cultivate nuturing families.

Triple P America Parenting Classes:   Through a grant provided by Mental Health Services in partnership with First 5 Contra Costa, we are able to offer parent education seminars and parenting classes featuring Triple P Positive Parenting Program.

Triple P is a best practice, evidence based program that has shown to be beneficial to all parents. COPE offers a variety of Triple P seminars and parenting classes in English, Spanish, Mien, Cantonese and Laotian. These classes include a parent coaching component for parents of children ages 2-12 years old, parents of teenagers, and parents of children with special needs including: physical, developmental and behavior problems.

Our Staff:   Executive Director and founder, Cathy Botello heads a team of dedicated professionals each with an average of over 25 years experience in social services and nonprofits. Our facilitators include social workers, therapists, teachers, counselors, psychologists and a nurse
